Dr. Jeannine Lawrence
Dr. Jeannine Lawrence is an Interim Associate Dean of CHES, an Associate Professor of Human Nutrition, and Chair of the Department of Human Nutrition and Hospitality Management. Dr. Lawrence completed her dietetic internship, a doctoral fellowship with nutrition with the NIH-funded General Clinical Research Center, and received her PhD at The University of Alabama-Birmingham. Her doctoral training involved assessing the relationship between intramyocellular lipids with insulin sensitivity, ethnic differences in those relationships, and dietary manipulation of intramyocellular lipids. Her research now focuses on two distinct areas: 1) clinical nutrition assessment and interventions with nutritionally at-risk populations, and 2) interprofessional education in clinical healthcare.
