Dr. Jeannine Lawrence
Dr. Jeannine Lawrence is an Associate Professor of Human Nutrition and Chair of the Department of Human Nutrition and Hospitality Management. Dr. Lawrence completed her dietetic internship, a doctoral fellowship with nutrition with the NIH-funded General Clinical Research Center, and received her PhD at The University of Alabama-Birmingham. Her doctoral training involved assessing the relationship between intramyocellular lipids with insulin sensitivity, ethnic differences in those relationships, and dietary manipulation of intramyocellular lipids. Recent research has focused on two distinct areas: 1) nutrition interventions with older adults who are nutritionally at-risk, and 2) interprofessional education in clinical healthcare.
